Firefighters/LEOs of BFC, what do you carry?

pOlice, I carry a slipjoint (normally a kissing cranes) thinking about adding a sak tinker (not sure which one) or mechanic to use in place or in rotation with it, a folder from a rotation with the s30v blur being on me today, and sometimes I have a fixed blade with me. I'm probably about to add a 275 adamas to the rotation. wish I could afford a hinderer. maybe I'm not as die hard as people here, but I'm not spending ar15 type money on a knife that i'll never see the advantage of.
I work with one guy who keeps a boot knife, neck knife, wave karambit, push dagger, and a couple folders on him all the time.

Any stories of using them?

None from me. Mostly use my knife for 'normal' stuff. Any time I am cutting near a patient it is with trauma shears. Safer that way.

And even though the ZT0301 locks up like a vault and has an oversized pivot a Halligan is better for prying ;)

Full time FF/Medic. I carry a Benchmade Triage my old man gifted me a few years ago in my station pants everyday. Leatherman Raptor shears in my station pants cargo pocket. A spyderco assist my old Medic partner gave me and a Gereber Hinderer Rescue in my bunker gear. And a Leatherman OHT on my radio strap. Good thread I was thinking about starting a FF/EMS pocket dump thread.

dang, just gonna leave the blue guys out :D ... I don't get the impression there are many here though... in some places the blue and red don't get along, we get along great where I am.

Sorry, not intentional lol. I got nothing but love for my brothers/sister in blue! We all work well together and have to have each others back where I come from.

I'm one of the ones in Blue....actually Tan, it's Vegas. :) I carry a Spyderco Assist in my back right pocket. An old, old, original Leatherman that hasn't left my belt in 17 years. My Dad gave it to me as a rookie. Clipped under my mic, in my shirt is my "flavor of the day". Sometimes a Hinderer, sometimes a Millie. Last week, it's been a Strider SMF. My Assist is my "work" knife though.

you guys must get paid a little better than me, lol. random question, but i'll probably never get to ask anyone again... do you guys regularly deal with that little guy from the "I can break these cuffs" video?

Full time Firefighter/EMT - I carry a Gerber Hinderer rescue knife in my bunker gear. In my station pants I rotate between a Sebenza 21, Strider SMF, Hinderer XM-18 3.5" spanto, and an Emerson CQC-8. Also, trauma shears.

Firefighter paramedic... Benchmade Triage in uniform pants, Spyderco Assist, Leatherman Rebar and a Benchmade 7 Hook in my bunker gear pockets. If carrying a folder other than the Triage, I carry a Benchmade 5 Hook on my belt. The hooks are an awesome alternative to trauma shears. I'm seeing more and more guys carrying them.

I carry a leatherman on my belt, and spyderco native 5 clipped to my pocket. I'm more likely to use the leatherman.

For patrol stuff, ZT 0560 on primary side, and Emerson kbit on support side. Leatherman in pouch on belt. On my heavy vest a blackjack halo, Leatherman, and spartan knives cqb tool. Trauma shears on an IFAK in each vest.

I used to carry a buck strider 880 and used it to baton through a front quarter panel of a car that had been peeled up in a wreck so the driver could go pick her kids up (vehicle was driveable otherwise). No chipping or rolling of the edge, but it had to be sharpened afterwards. My knives are tools first and foremost, and I have used my Leatherman the most.

Im a deputy and I carry a tanto blur or my spyderco PM2 in my back strong side pocket. I want to get ZT 0560 soon. I wish I could carry in my strong side front pocket but my holster gets in the way.

Is that you Joe? Wait.. I don't carry a push dagger. I do carry a boot knife, ESEE 3 horizontally on the back of my belt, sometimes a Candiru in a neck sheath, the aforementioned Serrated Endura 4, waved Matriarch 2, and an ESEE 5 is my GHB.

Correction Officer. I am carrying my XM-18 now everywhere, except inside the facility.

That's probably good! Imagine how many ramen noodles and sticks of jerky that would go for...

On topic, my brother (not a BF member) is a LEO and carries a Resilience, I know this because I gave it to him last Christmas.

he keeps the push dagger behind one of his cuff holders, he's retiring this thursday. he was my first sergeant (not a first sergeant as we don't have those, just the first guy that was ever my sergeant.) he hardly ever wore a vest and wouldn't carry magazines on his belt, but always kept 6 or 7 knives on him, lol.

Full time FF/EMT: I carry an old USAF Survival Knife and an older Leatherman PST in my bunkers, and a RAT1 or Utilitac with a SAK Super Tinker in my uniform pockets.

Full time Paramedic and Volunteer Rescue. Carried a Benchmade auto Tanto that I got in 1995 and just retired it this year with a ProTec Rockeye Auto that a friend picked up for me at Shot Show that rides in my right pocket. Left had a Blur but now has a ZT 0700. Boot knife is a Gerber Partner Tanto. My Skeletool CX is in my go bag in the truck. I want another Benchmade or two. The ProTec is #261 of 400 and even though I use it I really would hate to lose it. I tried to find out the model of my Benchmade last year at the Blade show in Atlanta and they said it was one of the first autos they made and if I broke the blade they could not fix it.
