Firesteel or Firestarter to go with RAT

Give the RAT FIRE KIT a try. That rod throws off big pieces and starts up a flame instantly. It's without a doubt the best fire starter I've ever tried. I like it so much I bought 2 of them. The storage in the top has room for tinder material also.
 
Love my LMF Army model and already used up a scout model. Had to pick out a birthday present so my Ratkit is enroute! Will a hacksaw scraper work with the RAT?
