FireSteel Tube package

Brand New FireSteel Tube. I have one of these already and can do without a second one. I've been using mine for over a year and will recommend it hands down....fire goes up usually within the first strike! I’m very impressed with this product.

Specs:

-FireSteel: 3/8 diameter x 4 inch long
-Weight with compass, paracord, lanyard, scraper: 5.0 ounces (142 grams)
-Size Closed: 5-1/4 inches long x 7/8 inch diameter
-Length with cap screwed into handle: 8-1/2 inches
-5500 F (3000 C) sparks that will start a fire in the toughest conditions

If you made the end of the tube have a square point you could eliminate the need for the "scraper/striker" save some weight and awkwardness as well as turning it into a pry tool.
