Hi guys,
My brother got me a sharpshooter sheath for my bravo-1 on my birthday, very high quality piece, definately better than the kydex. It has a firesteel loop on it but I don't have a fire steel that fits it, Where is the best place to get one? The best place I found was knivesshipfree but it would still cost me like $30 with shipping to Canada and duty/taxes which I don't feel like paying when I have so many scout ones lying around.
Thanks.

You can increase the diameter of the scout rod to fit the loop, by fitting the rod into in a piece of plastic tubing that has been cut to the right length.

That way you'll be able to use your existing scout sized firesteels.

Kind regards
Mick

hey 3Wolves, check in with BrianP over the HOODLUMS forum, he is located in Alberta and has fire-steels. Ships via Canada Post.

Yeah I had one of those (canadian tire carries them), they're pretty inferior to LMF ones. I like the idea of the tubing, I guess I can use that if I can't find a fullsize one. MEC does carry one but I don't know if it'll fit the sheath? I'ts made in Sweden so it's probably a rebranded LMF but I don't know for sure.

No prob, i had to go there anyways!

If you want the firesteel from MEC, and dont have a CC for online ordering, let me know and i'll pick one up and mail it to you.

Thanks alot for the offer B5 but I was gonna get some sak's and stuff from there anyway so I'll just add it to the order.
