Firestone throwing axe - multipurpose?

I have seen these axes for sale and they look like good throwers. Quite different in appearance from the belt axe.

Anyone own one who has used it to chop wood with? How does it work?

I bought a Firestone a few weeks ago. It is an excellent thrower but the handle makes it a little cumbersome for chopping. I have been throwing it a lot and the handle it just about broken. Any serious chopping would put it under at this point.
