Hi there,
Most of my time at BF is spent here in the Wilderness & Survival subforum so I felt like showing you what I am working on.

Ok ok... just a few pictures of the finished handle for those of you who don't want to go back and scroll down through the whole "how to" thread.

Very nice handle work!!!

Holy crap, that thing rocks. This is your first time???

Great job on the handle, looks quite comfy. I like beefy in that area.

Are you going to enter into knifemaking for sale, or just personal use?

Nice work. I like the design, I wish more bushcrafts had a real guard like yours!

very good job for your first one...I would say at the very least it is on par with my fourth or fifth one...

and you did an especially good job on the handle.

That all looks great. Especially for the first time. I really appreciate the other thread showing how and what you did. Great inexpensive setup. Of course as with any endevour like this, its not the tools as much as it is a reflection on the craftsman.

Great work,
KR

Wow that some good work for just being the first one you made. I'm looking forward to seeing more pics.

Nah... just personal use. I have way too many hobbies to be consistent at knife making. Spear fishing, climbing, hiking, etc... I don't have time for them all!
The problem is that some of my friends have seen it (just pictures, none else handled it yet) and they want one made for them.

First time? Fantastic job. I copied the whole tutorial in case.............
Glad you like it. I hope you find it useful.

Thank you all for the nice compliments. I just need to clean up the bevels and take it ouside for a few action pictures.

The bad news now is that I will have to try my hand at sheath making... lol. Don't worry, I think I have all the stuff already located. It is just a matter of time. I happen to have a number of shoemakers arround and I will ask them for advice if I need to.

While I wait for my DMT to arrive (for sharpening i mean) I just started a new proyect. I am working on another "How to" post in the knife makers area. I will post the link to that thread as soon as I finish typing. If you like this one, I think you are going to like that one as well.

Mikel
