I know there have been several threads regarding FAKs but since Jwilliams and Spooky proposed a passaround, I thought would be fun to discuss them. I'm a former EMT, a father of 4, and a Cubmaster, so I am always putting a bandaid on something... I have a very large kit in my car, and a number of kits in my packs that very in size. The one pictured below is the one from my Maxpedition Jumbo, my jumbo is really more than a PSK, it is EDC (stuff I want with me all the time). Most of my FAK stuff is geared towards immobilizing bones, stopping bleeding and staying hydrated. I am generally unimpressed with what you find in most small commercial kits, i.e. bandaids, aspirin. While these are helpful if you have small children, they are unlikely to be helpful in the event of serious injuries. If I could only have a few FAK items they would be several triangle bandages, tweezers, gauze, duct tape, plastic, and anti-diarrheal medicine. But since I am not limited to a couple of items, I carry all the stuff in the pics below, including combs, antiseptic lotion and towelettes, chapstick, crazy glue, first aid instructions, bite and sting kit, pre-threaded sutures, moleskin, medications, safety pins, small drinking water cups, toothbrush, sanitary pads, dental floss, and I would generally have an Ace bandage in there as well. What do you guys carry? Pics please!
