First and LAST SOG!

I have owned one SOG, that would be the Gov-Tac with black blade. It came sharp, really sharp, and has a great fit and finish. No complaints about that knife. Maybe for 35 bucks you should have opted for a Buck, or maybe a SAK. For that price either one would have produced a good, usable knife with a good warranty.

As for your SOG, sent it back to the company and they should take care of you. They have been great with me over the phone and in my dealings with them.
 
I have owned a few sog knives (all folders though not the model you are talking about) in the past and thought that for the money they were pretty high quality personally. Maybe you just got a bad one? I agree, talk to SOG; I bet they take care of you and get your money back if that's what you opt to do.

:cool:...I don't have a lot of experience with SOG or their knives...but I do own 2 of 'em...a Flash II and a Vulcan. I have no problems with either up to this point and unless I abuse the heck out of 'em I don't see problems in the future either. If I do have a problem somewhere down the road, however, I feel confident enough about SOG and their customer service department ( after reading a lot of positive stuff about them in this forum ) to make the call and ask for help...You really oughta try that before counting SOG out so quickly and resorting to name-calling relative to their products...:)
