FIRST anodized folder EVER...Totally PIMPED OUT !!!!

I have been on Todd for the past two years about anodizing stuff..and he has drug his feet for various reasons, but when I bought him a brand new anodizer this week....he warmed right up to the idea after that. Men. always needing new toys!! This folder is also the end result of all those wip videos I put up this week.

Anyway, this folder is the first we have ever anodized anything and I thank the collector for letting us experiment on his knife!!!!

First off Tanya, thanks for taking the time to post up those vids. Second, THAT KNIFE IS SMOKIN!!!! That timascus is out of control!!!! I also am gonna dive into Ti anodizing here in a few weeks on a prototype folder (first ever, homegrown lockback).


How many volts did you use to get the purple?

actually its only the liners and clip that is anodized gold....I think it was around 14.5. Todd says each unit is different you gotta play around with it.
 
A whole lot of hand sanding went into that. I'll bet Todd sands in his sleep...
