First attempt at a butterfly sheaths

I think I will need to earn a few more striped before I can release my work out into the wild (and build up enough money for the craftsman's membership too)! Once I gain a bit more experience I will do indeed!!

How do you make your basket weave so straight and precise?

How do you make your basket weave so straight and precise?

I grooved a guide line using a ball burnisher and a ruler. If you can imagine going over the leather with a ball point pen that no longer has ink in it that's pretty much it. When you stamp over it the line gets ironed out so it will be invisible by the time you finish. :)
