First Attempt at Sheathmaking

For the ones we still have in paper form I just use some extra priority mail envelopes. White on one side and brown on the other. The rest are converted to metal clicker dies.

I will definitely mark the pattern moving forward. Do you keep the pattern on stiff stock paper or do you move them to something more permanent? ( thin wood, maybe)

Thanks for all the positive responses guys!! It was a lot of fun and recommend everyone give it a try at least once.

Great looking sheath Martin! I want to see the one you make for that great looking camp knife you snagged on Friday! There is something really special about that one!

Great effort and way to go for it!

Thanks, John!!!

Thanks. I will try the priority envelopes or something similar. Not sure I will progress to metal dies.

Thanks!! I'm not sure if I am ready to bite off a sheath that big. I agree about that Camp knife. Been wanting one for some time now and this one just looked too good. Big fan of the Navy burlap.

Very nice first sheath, I usually have to pay extra to get someone to make me a left handed sheath :) I need to get back into a little sheath making. I have some special knives with double guards that I would rather make sheaths for than send them out to have them made.

My first attempt was me being gifted everything. ....it sitting in my man cave for 2yrs ..then me giving it to Allen
