Recommendation? First auto knife

Budget- Boker
Best Side - Protech
OTF - Microtech
Protech has some really nice designs you should check out, if your on a tight budget Boker makes a great quality one

ALL the knives mentioned so far are good ones, made by reputable companies. You should be able to find a model that ticks all of your boxes without too much trouble

I like the Kershaw Launch 8, it's kind of an art-deco take on the traditional Italian stiletto. I have heard reports of lock bounce on Kershaw autos, never experienced this myself. But then, I'm not exactly fidgety, so mine hasn't endured thousands of openings in the year or so I've had it.

The Buck 110 auto is a heavy knife, but the 110 has ALWAYS been a heavy knife. All they did was add the auto parts, the rest is still classic Buck 110, with the same solid lock. And you can get it customized, S30V blade steel, different handle materials, etc.

And it's not like you're only going to get one, right?

The Benchmade Adames 2750 Auto has served me very well and it kicks much harder than any of the 3 Benchmade autos I have. Love the AXIS lock and on an auto it’s just ! Also can’t wait to try a Pro-Tech because I haven’t heard ANYTHING negative on them.
