First Bear and first Alpha Dorado

My nephew, Kevin, age 13, bagged a small black bear on the last day of the season. It was his first big game kill. He used the new Alpha Dorado 154CM, that he got for Christmas, to gut the bear.
 
Rifle??? Bow??? Shotgun??? :confused:

I'll guess...200 pounds... :rolleyes:

Cool first trophy!!! Make a necklace out of the teeth??? :D

Nice bear...especially for a 13 year old.:thumbup:
We use to smoke the hams on black bears.....there was
never any scraps left.
How did the Dorado preform?

I still haven't got my first bear. :(
 
Thanks for the input guys, I'll relay them to Kevin. He got the bear with a Remington 710 30-06, 1 shot. A man was running his redbone hound, and it treed the bear. He wasn't hunting, and I'm not sure why he didn't have a gun. The bear dressed out at 115lbs. I figure it was 2 or less years old. Kevin said the knife worked well, but his Dad used it most

his nephew. I have never killed a bear ,so tell
your nephew that I am jealous.:o

Fried bear meat with Miracle Whip,sounds good.:eek:

Good going ! here in Northern Ontario we call them vermin........... I have some pictures of 300lb plus in my backyard !! I will try to post pics tonight.
