First Becker!

Can't wait till I can justify buying my girls 9's...
Maybe 3 or 4 more years...
They'll just have to be happy with their Moras until then. Perhaps we'll get a couple of 14's, and then 16's in the meantime.

I'm so impressed with his 9 that I just ordered a 15 for myself! This will be my very first Becker ever and I hope to give it some serious kitchen use!!

You will. Go fishing for a 9 in the Amazon. You'll get one cheap right now. My son and I both have one.

Wow! You got your son a Becker before you bought yourself one?! You are a good Dad!

You will most likely enjoy the 15. A lot.

Mturbo have you owned an esee 6? Does it compare at all? I can't decide between a esee6 or bk9.

I know you asked the OP, but since I own both, I'll give my opinion. Think about what you'll be using the knife for the most.
I see the ESEE 6 as one of the "one tool options" in the ESEE line. It is balanced right where your index finger sits in a traditional grip, has a choil, has a handle that conforms to mutiple grips.
The bk9 is designed to be more of a chopper. It is longer by a couple inches, no choil, taller (spine to edge) blade, balance is an inch or more past the guard.
Both are amazing knives, just different.

Good clean fun! :)

Now he needs a BK-16 to go with it. There's not much you can't do with a sturdy chopper paired with a lighter, handier knife.

This is my favorite combo. Good advice!
