first benchmade...which one?

A good training bra for a new BM user is the Mini Pika. Economical, slender, sharp, good metal and feels soo good in the hand.

Paul, getting a Benchmade without the Axis lock would almost be missing the point.

Norton speaks volumes, there are so many types of designs by Benchmade.
Each unique but all tough as hell.
Even the "fancy" 921 stands up to heavy EDC use.

definately get an axis lock

i have this 705. 705 is a popular classic, is now out of production, and this particular version is limited edition handle of only 250 made in grey g10. i love the handle on this 705, the picture doesn't really show it too well, but it is a grey g10 weave in resin, reflects light like carbon fiber.

I've owned a bunch of good ones, but I've settled on the ares for edc.
the 805 tsek is very nice also but I believe they're all gone

I had a 440 C 550 serrated Griptilian. Wasn't happy with the design, now I've decided to get a 551 plain edged Grip. Anybody have those in D2?

BM710 was one of my first Benchmade's and that was 4-5 years ago and it's still my primary EDC.

Whatever BM you get, make sure it has an AXIS lock and dual steel liners (that run from end to end of the handle).

have to look up that 921

Here tis!

Not Black!

S30v steel!

Two Blades!

WOW! Hard to believe it's a Benchmade. Mine is a very bright California Raisin Purple Grape color. Great knife. Doesn't scare non-knife knuts.

I'm a fan of Benchmade's assisted version called the "Apparition" model 670. It is very quick to open and well made with better steel and construction than most of the other assisted folders I have seen.
