First "Big" Becker on the way

People dont seem overly keen on the sheaths, but gotta say the Tan looks great. I actually find them rather functional (still prefer leather though)

Everything was done by the previous owner... They did an outstanding job!

I guess I should have amended this thread to First "Big" CUSTOM Becker on the way...

What I can see that was done:

Stripped
Patina'd
Enlarged Choil
Exaggerated Jimping
90˚ edge along spine
Micarta handles

The more I look at it (which I do a lot, since its right next to my monitor on my desk here at work), the more I like it.

Excellent. That's all that matters......you gotta love yo' bladez.....like a fat kid love cake...

Are you implying that I'm fat!?!

Because, well... I do need to loose about 25 pounds...

It will help with different carry options.

Update:

Now I have an actual "Big" Becker on the way...

Just secured a BK2 from the Knife Exchange. Going to need a different sheath for it but I'm excited nonetheless.

Pictures of the 2, 16 and 11 together once I've got them all...

Well now, here's the whole burgeoning family together:

The difference between the 2 and the 16 is almost as significant as the 16 and the 11...!

Initial mods to the sheath:

Had a random piece of 1/16th" thick aluminum laying around at work and used a length of inner tube to secure it to the nylon... Worked great!
(excuse the "ghetto" paperclip fastener for the shock cord, aka: one of my wife's hair bands)

I was going to get another sheath for it, but this one is really growing on me. I know it's the glass filled design but I'm not going to use this blade to make fuzz sticks so I'm not worried about it.
Another score off the knife exchange for a used that is awesome!

There ya go, you've been bit! Great sheath mod! Very nice set ya got goin there.
Now hug them and pet them and squeeze them and love them and name them.
And when they're bad....encourage them!!!
Go getem brother!

Nice work brother. Awesome steel you got there. Covered all bases pretty much with those alone..

.. but I'm curious to know Orezona, have you noticed your colleagues specifically making large detours around your desk? And are those blades sitting on the board room table when you meet with clients so as to 'gently' coerce them to buy your products? :D

I feel this is an OUTSTANDING business practice that you have got going there :p

Looks good..... I hope you enjoy it a lot...... My most used blade after the Eleven...... Thank you.....

Ethan

The great part is my boss is a "former" knife nut who has noticed my blades and admired them. He's the first one who introduced me to Winkler knives by making me google his video of chopping up a car and watched it with me at my desk...!

I'm really lucky to have the job I've got and everyone just knows about me and my knives.

Thanks for the note, Mr. Becker. I'm extremely happy to have found your designs and know these blades will serve me well for years to come.

I do try to refrain from handling the big ones when clients are walking through. The 2 is hard to pass off as a box opener...!
More like, box annihilator.

Haha hilarious! I wish my uppers were as understanding. If I sat at my desk wielding a plastic picnic knife let alone a BK16 they would have the SWAT team in here so fast my head would spin.

Orezona- congrats on the growing Becker Family! The BK 16 looks great- mine has very similar treatments. I am finding that my BK16 gets picked up the most when I am headed out the door for the woods, it really is a perfect balance of size, weight and utility. Thanks for sharing pics and keep on posting updates!
