You can usually order from NJ Steel Baron, Alpha Knife Supply or USA Knife Maker with relative ease. AKS' labels 1080+ as 80crv2(IIRC they called it 1080+ first) and is incredible stuff. You can get email updates from Chuck on when it comes in stock(BTW Its almost never out of stock)

Personally after using 1080, 1084 and 80crv2 i much prefer the latter of the three. Seems to get harder, easier and hold it's edge better. I've hammered thin kitchen knives through blocks of wood to test it. This was heat treated and tempered to the high end of the hardness.
15n20 could be another great option for you and its very easy to get. It heat treats like 108x series too.
