So I went to Blade show today for the first time; easily the best day ever.
To kick it off, I waited in line to meet R. Lee Ermey, and got a couple of autographs. Next, I went to meet RJ Martin, who helped me get some stuff for making my first knife this summer. (Some 1084 steel, a brass rod, and some wood for a handle) Then, while we were sitting around near the Busse booth, they started throwing out cards for discounts and free knives. Not really paying attention to what it was for, one of the cards landed right next to me. I grabbed it up, waited a while, then went up and asked what it was for. Needless to say, I walked away with my first Busse knife-- number 1 of 12 HACK knives, for about $200.
As we were leaving, my dad bought a SOG tech bowie, so the salesperson gave us 3 free Microns. I'll post pictures as soon as I can, but for right now I'm headed to the Busse induction dinner.
