first bowie

This is my first go at a bowie knife the blade is 10.5" with a overall of 16.5"
figured walnut handle and a mild steel gaurd.

what do you think?

Thanks guys

the blade is etched 1084
the gaurd is etched mild steel bent to a slight "S" shape
the spacers are black and white spacers and birch burl all stacked together

I'll see what i can do for better pictures this weekend

The pictures are fine, it's fotango that is the problem. At least when it comes to their free hosting. They don't allow you large enough pictures and that darn fotango ad on the bottom is an eyesore.
