First Busse

Hi, i got my first Busse last week and really love it but it's a bit big for EDC.
I want to get a smaller Busse also but i'm not so familiar with the models.
Anyone got any suggestions for a smaller blade.

I carry the Active Duty, which is the knife in the middle on the very bottom. The sheath was made by Northern Knives in Anchorage, AK and has a small Tek-lok on it so I can carry it sideways on my belt. It's pretty much an every day carry knife.

Do they still make the Active Duty?
 
I think the Game Warden carries the best for edc. The handle is extremely comfy and the end of the handle is rounded so it doesn't jab your side if you carry it vertically.

The Active Duty is great too like alaskanativeson said. It can be found in all kinds of tasty variations, like this one

Both have blade lengths under 4" so legally you should be good to go!

No, Busse does a rotating production line, they only produce one, maybe two models at a time. There's only a handful of different models every year that come out, and the active duty was last produced a few years ago in a special run of thinner blades with a higher hardness for cutting performance. It's unknown if they'll ever return to making that one, the best chance for a smaller busse right now are the exchange forums, but you're going to pay a large premium over the original price as these are very popular.
 
Nice knife and welcome! One of the most recent smaller offerings was the basic 4 LE in either skinny or magnum thickness. They are not very hard to find at reasonable prices :thumbup:
 
After some looking around on the net i think i'm going for a Game Warden:D

Nice knife jaap357, my first one and only knife(for now) is the Satin Jack TAC, color Grey coating
for a ECD also a bit to big ;)

I like to carry a CG Boss Street in a Mahed Cat sheath. I also recently picked up a CABS with a custom black micarta handle and a nice custom brown leather sheath from BBQ Boy on this forum; it's sweet! Either one of those would make a good companion to your Boss Jack.:thumbup:
 
All depends on what you are looking for, I personally prefer a small blade, like skeleton warden, will see how the new bcm feels. But if you are looking for something just a bit smaller than the bj, then check out urban grudge. It's shorter and slimmer. If you have larger hand check out SAR knives, very good selection. Then after you figure out which one of them you like best, get a of them... Maybe few in different colors.
