Well the ACE Show is only 10 days away, I have made 5 new knives for the show and as I get good pics of them I will post them. I could not wait for professional pic's for this one, as I would like to hear what you think of my first carved handle knife. I also did a little carving on the guard. the handle is a piece of buffalo I got from my friend Chuck at AKS, it was big and it was jigged. I ground all the jigging off and still had enough to carve it. Next I will carve some ivory but I thought this would be a good place to start.

that's super cool Dave! Didn't get a great idea about it from your description as your phone kept cutting out at my end and I only caught little bits here and there.

I wish I coulda made it down to see it in person, definitely will be there with bells on next year though.
Hope you guys have a FANTASTIC time at the show:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Dave that is one sweet knife all around. But that carving really adds something special. I think it looks very professional and fits the knife's appearance quite well.

I love the overall dark colors on this knife. Very well done.

Really nice job Dave.
Not only is the handle very nicely shaped and craved but goes very well with the overall profile of the knife. First class for sure.

Looks good! Nice work Dave.
Good luck with the Artisans of Cutlery show. You guys have put so much into building the show that it will certainly be a great time for everyone there!

Dave, that is very striking. I like the proportions, the damascus and of course your handle work!

That is the first carved piece you have done?

It is quite good.

nice complete package and very interesting visually. would be nice to see and handle in person -- just a tad far away at this time of year.
