I just finished this one up for a friend who works on a farm. This is the first knife I have sold. I still have all the knives I have ever made and I have to tell you its hard to let this knife go!
8" overall w/ a 4 inch blade. This is the first time I used ATS-34 and I am very happy with its performance. The steel takes and holds a great edge. Handle is stabilized needlewood from AKS. Let me know what you think!

Looks good Jake! Glad to see you're fitting some shop time in between classes!

Actually I just graduated this past may and am looking for a job (with little success), so I have PLENTY of shop time. I am hoping to make it down to a BGCM meeting sometime, and hopefully get a membership for next year.

very nice, like how it thins out, be careful not to put a hole right at the ricaso of a blade like that if its thin already and you take out a hole, and that's where its likely to break it could be bad, yours is far enough back ,a but some people especially w/ hidden tang knive seriously compromise the strength there

Congrats on the graduation! Sorry to hear about the bad luck in job hunting. What kind of work are you looking for? If I can help you find anything let me know.

Just warn me if you're coming to a guild meeting and I'll make sure I show up.
