First CRK...long overdue

I can't make up my mind...now I'm on the hunt for a plain large 21. Think I need a large to complete the set. :)

Yep, you need a large. Then you'll would probably want to have an inlayed seb. Next would be a mnandi to complement the inlayed seb. Then you'll need a workhorse, so you'll try to decide between the Zaan or 25. You'll get both just to test drive which is better. Then you'll see a good deal on a seb that has a birthdate that means something to you, so you'll have to it swoop up. Then you'll run into the final inlayed seb you didn't get from above, making the full set. Probably at that point, CRK will release a small 25.... :D

*The statement above has some similarities to my experience.*

I do. I removed the clip and it rides in my front pocket with my keys. Perfect size plus the wear just makes it better.

Without the clip, I've found that the cutout doesn't bother me too bad though I'll probably still end up getting a clip insert. Does anyone else carry theirs without a clip and no insert?

I like the worn look too. You should post a pic of yours. :)

For now, I've went to clipped carry and no lanyard. The convenience is starting to trump everything else. Had my hands full the other day and needed my knife and didn't like having to put everything down to pull the pouch off and carefully rearrange the knife in my hand to open it and not drop it.

So....thanks to an awesome BF member, my first plain Large 21, virtually brand new, will be here in a couple days. Like Christmas Eve Eve all over again.

Here is my small Insingo.

Yes, I highly recommend having a "set" because you never know whether you'll want to carry the Large or the Small - hehehe:

Got my large yesterday...couldn't be more happy. Just buttery smooth with a free dropping blade...almost cut myself with it lol. Pics to come later of Fat Man and Little Boy together.

Well done and congrats on the new pick up. I picked up my 1st Sebbie, a 25, this past Monday and couldn't be happier. I've been caught a few times just playing with it for no reason at my desk and the staff that is passing by giving me a blank stare.
By the way, enjoy this CRK forum it's full of good info. Just be careful there are a lot of clairvoyants on this particular site, everyone's telling me how my 1st Sebbie wont be my last and they're spot on, I'm already scouring the net for my next purchase.
Cheers,
John

Welcome to the club! I still don't own a sebenza, but I have my Old style Umnumzaan and I couldn't be happier. :)

She's pretty, congratulations now let's see some pics after a few months of pocket patina... ;)

Double tap

Here is a pic of mine with the ivory clip plug I made..

I just got my first Sebenza, a small 21 and decided to let ride bottom pocket so I removed the clip.

Now it just so happened that the day before while cleanin' in the basement I found a box of old ivory veneers of a set of piano keys so I took my dremel and in a 15 minutes i got this custom fit Ivory plug, I thought it looked pretty cool so I thought I'd share.

I was gonna drill it for the screw but decided to use some double sided tape just to see how it looked and I liked it.
