great knife. size and shaping and fit and finish, all great.. nothing y'all dont already know.

two things I dont care for is the texture of the scales and clip. didnt know they were rough feeling and kinda sticky. not from an adhesive, i mean the rough texture kinda sticks to your hand. prefer it was smoother, but that will wear in I suspect as I use it. second thing the ceramic ball frame bar lock design. not sure i like it compared to the older lock bar touching blade ramp with just proper angles setup. time will prove on that one or not. regardless enjoying it so far.

Congrats! The roughness from the bead blast will smooth over with use. Don't worry about the ceramic ball lock up, it's pretty damned solid.

thank you. good to know. appreciate your insight and feedback.

I think you'll grow to like it jb. And if you find a large Seb 21 to compare it with you'll like that one too. And by Halloween we'll see your "ISO User 'Zaan" post! Happens to most of us

My favorite CRK is the 25, which has now been discontinued. It also uses the same ceramic ball lock up that the Inkosi does. It's been super solid in my years with it.

I prefer the Inkosi. It’s my main carry and work knife. As others said the texture will smooth out. I’ve beat the hell out of all my Inkosi’s with ceramic lockup and they hold up just fine. Very solid/stout feeling knife for me

oh I like it now, just the texture threw me off. not a bad thing per say for anyone more just wasn't expecting it.....and not something I'd prefer.

yeah I dont think so..luckily for my budget...... they are kinda hard to find available and the other just as hard to find without ordering. although I expect a tanto is in my future at some point....I do dig on the crk tanto blade shape....

I've seen yours in general forum edc daily carry thread....being used all over on constr. says a whole lot about what they can do and handle.

I have a knife with polished stainless scales. The lack of grip was so frustrating that I ended up aesthetically destroying it by roughing everything up with a dremel. Luckily it’s a $30 knife.
The texture of the crk titanium scales is a necessity for proper grip

Nice first CRK. The finish should become become better for your liking in due time. The ceramic ball lock interface has been around long enough to prove it’s reliability. When the Umnumzaan came out, it was with the ceramic ball interface.

The Inkosi is a great knife. I've owned a few of them and have always enjoyed them. I'm currently rocking a 31 most days. They're just great knives and I love the hollow ground blades.

No doubt: it's beauty!
Congratulations, and I hope your collection of CRKs continues to grow!

Congrats. Yes, the roughness will wear off quick. When i buy a new CRK i forget they come that way since they smooth out fairly quick. Almost like sand paper. I EDC a large inkosi insingo in red micarta and love it. Great work knife. My buddy had to take a dive off his boat with his CF/TI ink, he forgot to rinse it when he got home and it sat 3-4 days with salt water all over it and probably 3-5 hours in his soaked pocket during the initial dunk. I took it, wiped the little bit of rust spots off of the blade with an oiled rag and the knife was no worse for wear. The blade was still as sharp as i had left it and the hardware had zero rust. The knife just had surface rust in a few spots. Impressive to say the least. He has the S45VN, i have the S35VN.

So I just got a new one in today (8/21 mfg date) and noticed the finish is way more rough than it used to be. I have a NIB from about 4 years ago to compare it to and its pretty significantly different. I actually came on here to see if anyone else had the same observation.

Would a couple of pictures show us the differences that you're seeing?
