First/Current Woods Knife/Setup

Not a very good setup, I know, hopefully when I get my Fallkniven S1, I will make it better.

"Not a very good setup?" Early man would have killed for a set up like that. In fact, I wouldn't mind it myself. If a person couldn't survive with those tools, the person wouldn't survive anyway.

I know I forgot my axe and SAK, and yes I know it has a horrible lanyard, I would have posted eariler but I was working on my uncle's farm getting money for my S1. I'm now at $111:D

I just noticed your age. You already have better knives than I did at that age! Congrats, and you will really like that S1.

Yeah Tknife all of my friends don't really understand the great outdoors, as well as knives and guns. They think it's weird my Father and I own around 80-90 knives and 60+ guns...

Nice setup, Barny. Not bad at all. I myself started with just a SAK, back in the day. Now I carry probably way too many. I almost always have three folders and a fixed blade on me around home. No pics at the moment, but I carry my trusty SAK, a Spyderco Native and a CS Gunsite II, along with a CS Finn Bear on my belt. If I'm going further into the woods I usually take my Ranger RD7 too.

This is my setup.
Fallkniven F1 (with firesteel added to the sheath), Sandvik/Bahco folding saw, Leatherman Fuse.

I also carry a FK WM1 and a SAK and a FK U2 in my big bag full of tricks.

my current set up is a fallkniven f1, a vic fieldmaster sak and a 12 inch ontario machete. Barny I think your first setupis awesome. If I had to choose a setup based n the pics youve shown I'd take The axe (estwing?) the mora, and the sak (if it has a saw). With that setup you could pretty much tackle anything in the outdoors. also taking a lighter to the end of that lanyard for a sec or to will help get rid of those fuzzy ends.

Barny that's a great setup, good job! I've seen that mora on several post, one of the favs, where did you get it! I want one :D

Rescue Riley- Yup, your right it is an estwing and the SAK has a saw.
Dantor- If you really want to know where I got it from, I got it from Sportsman's guide. Only 10 bucks!

The thread is turning out very good! keep them coming.

that's one of the great things about mora, their price! I have the red wooden handle ones but that grip seems more secure, thx barny.

Barny , a little neetsfoot oil will go a long way on that Estwing handle.

I'm not as well equiped as most here , usually 3 or so out of these get the nod for a walk in the woods or hunting.
