Well, it's Christmas Eve, and I can't sleep so I thought I'd add pictures of my 8 point I shot last weekend. Shot with Remington 2 3/4 slugger slugs. Slug Gun used Remington 870 express magnum. Knive used to dress and butcher, Fallkniven S1 :thumbup::cool::thumbup:

That is a HELL of a first deer. I have been hunting deer for nearly 20 years and have never even seen a rack that beautiful in the wild. Congratulations!!
 
Congrats!! My Son whacked is first buck this year also in Iowa..



Where is Iowa do you hunt?

For those unfamiliar with Iowa, that state has Monster bucks.. Non resident doe tag only cost 347.00
Buck tag in Iowa is 540.00 for a non resident.

IMO-- if your hunting the right land it is worth every penny!

Now you are ruined for life!! :p You will constantly be trying to "better" that buck every season now and it will become an obsession. You will "have" to get something bigger! I don't envy you! :D You have begun a lifelong journey!

Thanks guys for the nice reponses. Loose arrow, Its packed with snow because I laid in the snow to climb up the hill to get to my deer, I know it wasn't smart but it was smarter than climbing up with it. And yes I'm going to get it mounted, I thought euro mount but hten my Dad said it would be ok if I got a shoulder mount. And isn't as bad as you would think. Harley guy- I was hunting my Uncle's land up near Fort Dodge
