First Emerson CQC-14 or Mini-CQC-7?

Well the mini-cqc7 arrived. Love it! It's going into my EDC rotation.

Just for kicks i ordered the CQC-14!!!! I guess i'll have a chance to compare myself!
 
Just ordered the 14 ....boy o boy! your just like the rest of us,just one more and that will be it,last one I promise.

Glad to see you took my advice. Now you have another choice to make. Which one goes in which pocket?
 
Well got the "Snubby" 14

Wow what a different knife that is. Kinda everything the Mini 7 isn't! Big thick handle and sweet blade shape. Balance is outstanding IMO

2 things, are Emersons always that stiff to open? and the -14 liner lock just barely seems to engage the blade. The Mini-7 is about 1/4 thru incomparison.
 
You could loosen the pivot slightly. That'll get her moving easier. The lock will wear in with time. I would just use it and in time everything'll pan out.

If you like you can adjust the pivot just a tad. Did it with mine and it's much smoother.
