First ESEE Impressions

I promise when we get the Engineering samples we will post a pic up. This will be an injection molded part.

Not to sound like a broken record but...

It's an Izula, and I LOVE IT! (I've got a couple more ESEE's on order now)

I've been lurking this forum for a while and now I'm entering the fray. This is one of the most informative and friendly online communities I have come across, so keep it up to all involved.

Big thanks to R.A.T. and the others for keeping so involved with the end user community. If you guys ever get that folder line going I don't think I'll ever need any other knives. ;)

Thanks again and I'll be around,
Mark

Hi Mark (great screenname, by the way)-
I am also new to ESEE and I agree with your post word for word. This really is a great forum, and I am very impressed with what I have seen of ESEE's philosophy and business practices.

I picked up a tan 4 and OD Izula with inserts from KSF and have been enjoying them greatly. The Izula has done a lot of work and been sharpened a few times. I think I will get a ton of mileage out of this knife. The 4 will see more action soon. I am really impressed with how the coating holds up on these blades. They both have gone through quite a bit of wood (and cardboard for the Izula) and show little wear. I am just extremely impressed with the design of the Izula in particular. One of the most useful knives I have owned. I have been looking for a small FB or neck knife and this is perfect.

I am looking forward to seeing what is coming up for the Izula.

I'm trying to figure a way to do an horizontal carry for a ESEE 5 that won't scare non-knife folks. I also think I should design above the ankle on the calf inverse sheaths to make the Izula a better holdout knife. Maybe do the same for the HEST.

It was the active community here that got me to unlurk.

Believe it or not, I just started carrying an Izula full time myself. I got one back for warranty replacement becasue the tip was depressed slightly so I started carrying it. I put a convex edge on it this morning. Now I see why we've sold 18k of these things.

Jeff, which method did you use to put a convex edge on your Izula?
