Well, this is the first blade finished out of the 'Bama shop. Kept it small and simple. 1095 and some string-

forgot to add, thanks to Fikes for the wrap and other obvios influences etc..

Great work, Matt! It sure shows the Fykes style but is something different at the same time.
Wish I could get it and spend some time cutting stuff to give it a good try.

Hey, Matt. When ya gonna grind the other side? :p :D

Although I would like to see a double ground version, this one kicks major arse anyway.

Dan, I will grind the other side when you send that gal in your avatar to my house for a while.

Thanks for the kind wods fellas. I am trying to apply what ive learned from Jimmy while maintaining my own style etc. My "own" style will be more apparent in the up coming knives, while still holding the Fikes influence.

Small and simple and freakin' gorgeous. I dig the Fikes influence. I dig this little knife.

Roger

Matt, how did you come up with the name 'Bama Shop? I notice you live in MS. We've got plenty of room in Alabama if you decide to migrate here.

ive bounced around like a ball the past few years, a crazy ball. finally had the chance to buy and permanantly settle in Alabama (had the chance to buy Jimmy Fikes place and jumped on it).

Any how, I will be in Jasper, AL for many, many years to come. Will finally be able to get some consistency in my business!
