This is the first time I tried drawing a slippie, I am not 100% sure its good or will work. I am looking for some critique!!!

The way you have your tang drawn will not work other than having the friction of the backspring against the tang. You will not have "walk and talk". Its also important to know the location of the backspring center pivot hole and the back hole. You have more than enough material on your backspring toward the back of the knife. This can and should be reduced to fit more blade into the frame. This keeps the ratio of blade to frame correct.

Hope this helps a bit, good luck on your building your first slip. They can be addictive

I hope this simple drawing helps a bit.

As the back spring pushes down on the end of the tang, the blade tip will pivot up and stop against the END of the spring, (the part of the blade called the run-up). If you notice, that there are only two (2) points that the spring will touch when open. If the springs rests along the ledge cut in the tang you will not get a good solid feel when open. Same when closed, just the two points is what your looking for.

When closed , the backspring pushes up against the end of the tang, pivoting the tip into the frame, stopping when the kick hits the spring.

Ok so I was close with the second drawing!! I just want more of a....how do I say it?......point..... before the radius?

In your second drawing you have to look at were your pivot hole is. The hole ends up about half way between the run up and the point at the end of the tang were the radius starts. Your second drawing has the pin hole in line with the run-up.

I notice your in Wi also, your more than welcome to come and spend a day in the shop with me, we can build one in a day.
