Well this is officially my first folder completed. I am so giddy, and my wife was almost impressed.:o Its a friction folder, and a little rough around the edges so it will stay with me. It is 1084 steel with orange g10 scales. It seems to operate just fine. The only thing that I really didn't like was the tip is not centered. From what I gather When finishing the blade it became uneven or the drill press was not level/true. Any suggestions on this.

This might get addicting. Here it is. Thanks for looking.

Very nice and congrats on your first folder. I just finished my first about a week ago so I know that's a great feeling.
I like the bottle opener, just be careful you don't cut yourself while trying to use it. Mine had something similar, except the bottle opener was more centered on the handle.

Wow, Frank! Great job! You've got a leg up on me. I still haven't finished the folder KIT I have on my table, and here you are making stuff from scratch. Way to make a brother look bad.

Yah that looks really good, I like that back arm look. It almost looks like you have a functional bottle opener on it. Was that intentional? I love knives that serve multiple functions.

Looks beautiful panch0! I wouldn't sweat too much about the blade centering, as long as its not rubbing the liner I'd say its fine. It looks to be a great EDC by the way. Plus I think it looks pretty sheeple friendly ;)

Thanks guys! I am thinking about etching the blade in ferric cause it is very humid around this area. Thanks again!

Absolutely wow, keep up the great work;) It looks like an extremely practical design, very comfortable looking handle. +1!

Thanks NRaiano! I still stare at it not believing that I made the dern thing. I have used it to cut leather and boxes and am pleased.

I was thinking the same thing... that HAS to work as a bottle opener... it just HAS to. ;)

Frank, as a solution to your other question, just zip tie that little puppy onto a rooster's leg, and you're all set. :) Just be sure to get it back and clean it up when you're done...it's too nice to just toss away. :D

:D:D:D AS long as the orange matches the feather I don't think the rooster would mind. Hehehehe...
