First Folder for EDC Urban / Wilderness Survival

Does anyone have any pictures of the griptilian with the Olive Green handle?, im trying to figure out how bright that green actually is and cant find any pictures online other then the ones from the retailers selling them. Thanks.

I've seen the OD griptilian on ebay and it didn't seem all that bright. I layed my Vic Bundeswehr SAK with OD scales on the ground and walked away. Then tried to find it later and had a heck of a time. If I go with the griptilian, it's gonna have yellow handles. :D

Besides G-10 scales and super sharp out of the box. I don't see how the 2 compares at all. The Cara Cara has a narrower blade profile and hollow grind. The Manix is flat grind with a leaf blade. I like both of them a lot though.

Both in G10 with full-length steel liners, strong lockback, finger choil, same edge shape and a few other similarities. They have their differences, but they're fairly close in application.

Well ive decided against the manix, i think its just too expensive for me at this time, and want to get something a little smaller. I really like the griptilians and am leaning that way. I saw and felt a spyderco delica today and didn't like the handle that much on it. That Ka-Bar Mule looks cool, but id rather have a stronger blade then a stronger handle.

I'd suggest, again, the Cara Cara if you feel that way about the Manix. I had a Manix, then got the Byrd, and sold the Manix. The main reasons why were price and size. I can buy four Cara Cara's rather than one Manix, and they ride in the pocket much better. The Manix just doesn't offer much above the Cara Cara in my eyes aside from a full flat grind and slightly better ergonomics, but that doesn't justify the price for myself (Not saying the price isn't warranted for the Manix, just that I personally don't feel like paying it).

Yeah I heard ya. When I first got my manix I was really looking to EDC it, but I can justify cutting up boxes and prying stuff with it cuz it's so expensive. Now I pretty much use it as a outdoor folder and when back to my dirty ole native for work.

I got a g10 cara cara for my dad since he's going to retire soon and will be off on his little adventures. It replaced his 15yrs old delica. Very nice knive for that price.

Hey guys well i just got the knife, after having some mailing difficulties. The first package that came someone had actually stolen the knife! Fortunately i called up Cabela and they sent me another right away. The knife is perfect. Not to long and is lighter then i expected. I also just got an arc-p aaa for my keychain and it works great. Here are some pics, and thanks for all the help!

Time for a nice orange paracord lanyard! I found some bright yellow toggles to use the same way. I like those international orange LED lights to hang on my gear for the same reason-- like a fishing lure for gadget freaks :D

Victorinox should offer more Stayglow models for the same reason. You could fake it with reflective tape too.
