Thank you all for the great compliments. I really tried to do this first one like Ray. R and Jason H. was saying to. I just took my sweet ol time and scratched my head alot. I really can't thank those 2 enough. There are a couple things that I need to illiminate on the next one though, especially grinding the bolsters and scales a little thinner. But I really like it, I've had it in my pocket ever since I got it finished.
Except for showing it to a neighbor and the guys at lowes, home depot, the grocery store, gas station and wal-mart. Tomorrow I'll try to visit a few other stores.
Mark W. - no, I love making Hawks and Bowies to much to quit on anything. It sure is nice to have a change of pace though.
Dan G. - I appreciate the opinion on other materials, being this was the first I just used what I had handy, I really figured it would be a mess when I got finished, and I didn't want to waste anything good on it.
Ray R. - Damascus screws. these little screws are hard enough to get into those little holes, I would sure hate to try and make some.
Thanks again all, I really do appreciate it.
Bill
