First Folder

Thank you all for the great compliments. I really tried to do this first one like Ray. R and Jason H. was saying to. I just took my sweet ol time and scratched my head alot. I really can't thank those 2 enough. There are a couple things that I need to illiminate on the next one though, especially grinding the bolsters and scales a little thinner. But I really like it, I've had it in my pocket ever since I got it finished. :) Except for showing it to a neighbor and the guys at lowes, home depot, the grocery store, gas station and wal-mart. Tomorrow I'll try to visit a few other stores. :D

Mark W. - no, I love making Hawks and Bowies to much to quit on anything. It sure is nice to have a change of pace though.

Dan G. - I appreciate the opinion on other materials, being this was the first I just used what I had handy, I really figured it would be a mess when I got finished, and I didn't want to waste anything good on it.

Ray R. - Damascus screws. these little screws are hard enough to get into those little holes, I would sure hate to try and make some. :)

Thanks again all, I really do appreciate it.

Bill

As usual I'm chiming in late but dang Bill - that is beautiful! No one would believe that is your first folder, it looks perfect. Way to go, and thanks for sharing.

I'm late, too. Damn that's fine Bill. I'm hoping to try my hand at that folder thing soon also but, I doubt my attempts will come anywhere near as nice as that. Great work as usual. Can't wait to see the next one.

Yowza! That's awsome! Did you at least make a prototype first to work the bugs out? Man that's great. What did you use for linners?

No prototype Will, I just started out real slow and prayed a lot as I went. The liners are titanium.

Thanks,

Bill
