After almost a year learning I am posting my first hand forged knife here. I enjoy the forge which has allowed me to be more flexible in my design. I can make twists, bends and vary the thickness of my knives with this method. (And it is fun too)

5160 tool steel
Apox. 3/16 inch thick at the guard with a distal taper
Hand sanded mat finish to 600 grit
Stabilized crab apple burl handle (This wood is very hard)
Overall length: 10 inches
Blade: 5 3/8 inches
Hand sewn leather sheath

SOLD delivered to the US or Canada. My PayPal account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com I will also take checks with time to clear or USPS money orders.

Do you have a pic looking down at the spine to show the taper and also any handle contours?

I really like the looks of this one.

I always like to see what you post, but I like this design the best so far. Looks like a great job.

Very nice work Gerry! Thought it wouldn't be too long until you gave forging a try. I think you'll find it will be an asset to go along with your other talents.
Rick
