first forged tomahawk

This is a little rr spike tomahawk I made at a blacksmith club meeting it has a forge welded 1095 cutting bit. The haft was the leg off a chair I found in a dumpster. Maybe oak? Not perfect, kinda ugly, but I like it and its my new backup home defense piece.

hey, i like the look of it. i think it resembles a north american tomahawk and a medival war axe hybrid.
as for it being your home defense piece..i wouldnt want to mess with the guy holding it.
 
The eye didn't turn out to well. I didn't make a long enough slit before I drifted it so the eye is small and I stretched it a bit. Hence the skinny haft. Tthanks for the compliments
