First freehand grind-how did I do?

I decided to suck it up and attempt my first freehand grind. I was nervous to try it but I'm very glad I did.
I started by grinding a 45 degree bevel to get close to my center line and then climbed my grind from there.
I worked my way up the blade doing a partial grind to see how well I could match my grind lines on both sides for practice.
I then took it to the full grind with distal taper.
This is fresh off the grinder with an 80 grit Norton blaze.
If you can see these crappy cell pics, let me know what I can work on for the next one!

Good job Josh. How did you do with the partial height grind? Did you flat grind into the spine at all? That's a mistake I made.

What grinder are you using?

Thanks Strigamort - my partial height grind was ok. My strong side was beautiful! Weak side...not so much. I did get it close enough that I probably could have refined it with hand sanding.
I did a distal taper so I necessarily ground the spine but I did avoid taking my plunges all the way to the spine. I did that on my first knife.
I'm using a harbor freight 1x30.

nice work my first free hand attempt was horrible, ending in scrap

Thanks! I'm sure I just got lucky for my first time but I did go slow and try to feel what was happening. The 45 degree bevel really seemed to help a lot too.
