Hey guys, I've been looking into front flippers. I like the Trevor Burger EXK 2.75", but can't find one in a plain blade that's readily available. Any other suggestions for a front flipper in the $500 - $800 range? I like titanium or carbon fiber scales, no damasteel, and around a 3" blade. Open to blade shapes. Thanks a lot.

I've got a Clyde Challenor Hornet up for sale in customs for sale. 3" m390 blade.

For a LOT less you might want to check out the Kizer Feist. I know it's way under your price range, but it's a collab with Lundquist that looks very promising.

I have a Gareth Bull Shamwari 3.25" in N690 with titanium scales. He also makes a 3" version. Lovely smooth action with the thumb. I don't have the dexterity to flick nib openers with the forefinger. I think I got it for about $400(?) on the exchange.

I also talked to French knifemaker Sacha Thiel about his midtech Citizen model. He told me that it was no longer available but that he could make me a full custom version for about 320€ ($340ish). Very reasonable for a pretty knife. I didn't pull the trigger but I think I will some day.

Thanks for the suggestions.

sechip - that is what I am looking for. I am gonna do some research on it and I'll PM you if I am gonna make an offer. Is it plain titanium? Im having a hard time telling for sure what the color is.

Hackenlash - I have a Kizer Gemini and love it, but I am looking to branch. And I think I want a custom.

spyderg - The K23 looks nice, maybe a bit more aggressive than I want. Is it a button lock?

It's a satin finish titanium with blue ano accents and runs on bearings.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.

SpySmasher, those are two I have looked hard at but haven't found any readily available. Beautiful knives and exactly what Im looking for. I just sent an email about the Citizen, so we'll see.

The SK23 is a button activated compression lock liscenced from Spyderco. It ends up not seeming as aggressive due to its relatively small size. The thing I love is the flipper tab location. It's actually half way between a typical flipper and a typical front flipper. It doesn't stick out like your usual flipper tab but is very intuitive. You don't have to put your thumb awkwardly around to the front of the knife to open.
