Edited to add: Damn, Granite. I like that stripped 9. That's all sorts of sweetness.
hawaiianhawk,
Did you get your 9 yet?

It might have a slight advantage in chopping, but the BK9 is surprisingly good at just about anything else as well. I'll probably get a BK4 for the heck of it and then I'll see for myself.
From what I have gathered, the 4 has a bit of a learning curve. Put a 4 and a 9 in someones hand and the 9 typically wins the chopping contest. Put them in the hands of someone who knows the proper technique for using it and the 4 wins. I have no idea if that's true though; I think I will just have to get them both and see which one I like better.
Howdy, GSO. Yeah, it's the rainy season right now but the last few days have been nice and sunny and hot and very humid... Perfect beach weather! (So of course instead I had work.) And it's supposedly been one of the five quietest hurricane seasons since the sixties or something this past year. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but yeah, it's easily one of the most expensive places in America. How'd you like it here and how long ago was it, if you don't mind me asking?

You might wanna do that here pretty quick if you haven't. When you have a BK9, your house is 67% less likely to be struck by debris from exploding alien space ships and you'll have to replace the wiper blades on your car only half as often. And legend has it that deep in the woods is a doughnut shop that gives free apple fritters to BK9 owners, if you can find it. Also, some fat guy in Colorado will finally shut up about it.
I am really digging those blue lanyards!
Spent 3 years there, summer of 2002 to 2005. I don't miss the humidity though....I had a pair of leather Birkenstocks that I bought in Germany turn green from mold since I left them in the back of the closet for a few months. I hadn't been wearing them since we always wore "rubbah slippahs" to the beach.
