Finally getting around to using the G10 that I was given 4 years ago. Aside from respirator and vacuum, what precautions should I take when sanding?

grind it wet of you can, keeps all that dust on the ground
also I don't care if a giant wooly mammoth spider is about to devour your eyeball, hands OFF until you wash em that stuff is not something you want in your eye

in this instance it would be the life over limb... the spider is the immediate threat. Take the primary threat out and deal with the tertiary glass fibers afterward ;)

I've started using a mist system when I grind G10 and it really makes a difference. (You still need to wear eye and lung protection.)

True but after having that crap in my eye once I would probably pause for...half a second or so before swatting at my face like a maniac :D
