Oh yeah, that reminds me of another ritual. When I am examining the new knife, and especially when cleaning it up the first time, I always make sure to cut myself with it and then say a special phrase that I can't repeat here and stomp off to the bathroom to get a Band-Aid and some Neosporin.
I also use that as a way to space out my knife purchases. No new orders can be placed until all existing cuts have healed up.
(note: I don't do that on purpose, it seems to more be a ritual that the new knife must follow, not a ritual I choose to follow).
I got my first GEC(same one you did) around a month ago. Since then 11 more have found there way into my life. I have sold guns, coins etc. they draw me like a tractor beam. I love these knives. Be warned,if you put two next to each other they will reproduce.
