First GEC!

Excellent choice. I've had three GECs and the only one I kept is the 73.

All nice trappers guys, and welcome aboard gncc025! Mike I think that is the nicest #73 I have seen yet! Out of curiousity what's the walk and talk like on these fine new #42s?

Congrats on your first GEC! Don't be afraid to use it. Once it gets scratched up a little, and the blades start to darken, it will add character to the knife; then, you'll look at it and think "that's MY knife." :D

Just got my very first GEC in the mail yesterday and I can say i absolutely love this knife! Feels solid as a rock in my hand. I love my Case knives but this knife just has a different feel to it. I'm thoroughly impressed with GEC. Now my only problem is I'm scared to use it! How ridiculous is that... lol

Here are a couple pics. Its a Beaver Tail #42 Missouri trapper. Carbon blades...

If you own a beaver tail feel free to post em up!

Hi! - I will post pics later after receiving knife, but I just bought #9 of the 1 of 25 like yours, so our production numbers are consecutive.....
I also have the same configuration in a Ben Hogan......#651111...Brazilian cherry scales...beaver logo.....THAT one, I'm keeping mint....THIS one will be used.

I juuuuuust missed a Beaver Tail Ben Hogan on eBay last weekend, and I was watching that #9 42 that ended today, but opted to go for something else instead since I prefer a single blade knife. Grats on your wins! :)
