First give away knife

This a wonderful idea. I served during Viet Nam so I don't get my name in the hat but my wife and I did raise her brother who is now in the Army and scheduled to deploy to Iraq in Aug. I would like for his name to be considered. His name is Nice, he is 20 and presently stationed at Ft. Hood, TX. He is a Chaplain's Assistant. If not that is OK, it is still a great idea. I appreciate all our Armed Forces and their families.

Preacher, check your visitor messages. I don't know how those work, so help from anyone else would be appreciated. I would like to talk to Preacher.:)

He just needs to go into "contact info" in his user cp-and he should see it, I can. Preacher, if you dont know, just click on your user id name at the top right of your screen where it says welcome to get there.

Preacher, just left click on Plumberdaves gold id, then pubic profile(top choice) once to his user cp, click on "contact info" and then either click on "post a visitor message for plumbrdav" or "send a message via email to plumberdav" to get a message across.

Still no message showing.

I'm going to keep this running for a few more days. I have one very likely candidate, who hasn't posted but whom I've been in contact with via PM's. He wasn't there in '03, but was deployed there twice starting in '05 and is going back again soon.

i have a good friend who lives in South Dakota whos husband just joined awhile back, (Real One) but he's pretty busy now, considering they are expecting a baby this summer. Annie served in Iraq as a "fueler" for military vehicles. i dont know alot about what her duties were more than that. she's still active and puts in her time monthly, but as a guy with no military experience im not familiar with the terminology. maybe he will chime in and tell a little more about her, but she is a young proud American that will stand up and scream at anyone who has a negative thing to say about our troops and the job theyre doing over there. ive seen it:eek:

Woody, thanks for the e-mail.

Sure is a fine looking knife, and a welcomed addition to our collection. We have a boy on the way, and plan to pass the collection onto him in time.

Thanks,
Nate & Annie

p.s. Thanks to woody also for bringing this to our attention.

My wife checked the mail on her way back from picking me up from work, and found a package with a beautiful buck knife in it along with two case's for the knife. Thanks PlumberDv we appreciate the kind gesture, and the fine piece of Buck history. It will be taken very good care of.

I just want to give Dave a heart felt thanks a big . What a SUPER GUY with a soft spot for us service men!! Just too let everyone know, Dave and I "traded" knives and he asked me to give his "trade" knife, a Buck Odyssey early production ATS-34, Bos treat w/G-10 scales to a man in my unit.

Too my suprise, when I opened the box, there were two other "gifts" as he called them to give away. Two very shiny, verrrrry pretty 110's! Man..... what a  guy! I tried to leave Dave feed back since there was a "trade" involved but the feedback page tells me this thread is invalid? Too bad, I guess it has to be a F/S W/TT thread to go through :grumpy: :thumbdn:

DAVE ........ WE SALUTE YOU SIR!
Sincerely,
Cpt. Thomas & the Men and Women of the United States Armed Forces!
