First Hawk from a Ball Peen Hammer

This started out as a 10oz ball peen hammer. Forged, ground, heat treated, "aged" and put on a piece of curly maple. I like it :D
 
Beautiful piece of work, the finish is very clean and the whole thing looks exceptionally well balanced.

I like that it's pretty basic; the Maple dresses it up a little but it looks like it wouldn't suffer if you used it, have you tossed it around at all?
 
Great looking hawk, what are the dimensions. Do the mosaic pins do something? I like the cap on the haft.
