  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

First High-End Knife

Servo is a stunner. I love mine. I might sell it at some point to buy a thorburn or blomerus because I'm hesitant to really use a knife that's 700usd and might as well get something fancier for the money....I use the hell out of my liong mah's... I guess 400 is my comfort limit.

More of a traditional guy and the only modern knife I own is a sebenza. Seems like all roads lead me there. The suggestion regarding your age reminds me of he time my cousin got a nice SAK for his 12th birthday. I told him he'd lose it . 4 or 5 years later he made a point to let me know that he still had that knife . It was in excellent condition. Your money, spend it how you like .

I said, get the CRK now! Get it out of your system, no need to wait, my third knife was a sebenza, and that was bought a few month after my first, a ZT.
I'll go for a Inkosi or umnanzaan instead (my preference and recommendations been the later)
And if you determine to spend up to a thousand dollar, take the remaining change and get yourself a Reate Jack ( awesome knife), and you'll have the best of the classic framelock with one of the best modern production frame locks...

I have a 3" Shamwari I am considering letting go of. It is from the last run so it has the pivot collar on both sides, M390 hand rubbed blade, contoured handles, bearings. Only reason I am considering it is I am a lefty and I have a Lefty Field Grade. I do not carry the righty and do not foresee me ever doing so. It is much nicer than the Field Grade and has amazing action.
