First Higher Quality EDC Knife

I think I like the 943 better than the 940 as far as looks go. It is a hard decision since the techno and sage 2 seem like higher quality construction which is a very big deal for me. I prefer having the feeling of a high end knife with superb f&f. Does the 943 have equivalent f&f and construction as the others?

Of those you mentioned, the 707 is a great knife, well made, and very size efficient. It could be the only knife you ever need. The PM2 is also great. It is a fairly large knife and if you want a knife to use with gloves on outdoors, this is a good choice. These two knives are almost like custom in quality. The Ritter is pretty nice for the steel choice.

You mentioned the Caly3 and I think it is wonderful. I slightly prefer the ergos on the Delica and Endura, but really do like my Caly3. It is slimmer than it looks. The handle is exactly the same size and nearly the same shape as the much vaunted EDC knife, the Kershaw Leek. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

I'll second the 707. Its a great knife, if a little on the small side. I think the Ritter mini fixes this problem though.

I've been carrying my customized one lately, rotating it with my small seb

You can't go wrong with a BM940 or a Spyderco PM2. Both are fantastic EDC knives, most people agree they are a couple of the all-time best. I have both and they are a regular part of my EDC rotation. The 903 is also a great consideration if you want a smaller knife. The 903 drop point uses a 2.97" blade that feels a little more stout than the equal size griptillian blade. I use this knife as a money clip. It's only a little longer than a dollar bill folded in half and it's very thin, great for holding cash down in your front pocket. With the open frame design, axis lock and generally sturdier build than the Griptilian I think the 903 drop point deserves consideration (IF small is what you want).
Just a suggestion.....For a high quality EDC I would place a priority on blade material since it will be used often. I find the 154CM on the 903 needs to be sharpened much more often than the S30V on the 940 or the S35VN on my sprint run PM2.

Have a look at Al Mar knives. Some beauties. Also spyderco vallotin sub hilt is classy looking and feels great in the hand an opens very smoothly

Hi, I'm new to the forum but I do like my Mini Barage BM, although I'm a rookie to the knife collection forum. Its fits in your pocket, not too large, and for a small knife I like the grip. I would look at it.

Depends on whag you want it for...I love my Griptillians and 940 (and 940-1 as well)! I also enjoy the PM2, but there's a few things about it that bug me. For one, it carries large in the pocket, and also the handle material is pretty rough on your pockets. I have a full sized Griptillian w/ D2 that I actually prefer to my brand new PM2. I carry the grip most days when I'm in jeans, the 940 or 940-1 if I'm dressed up a little more, and either a delica or mini grip hg when I'm looking for a smaller blade. Personally, I'd go for the grip in m390 (been looking into getting one for a while), but it really depends on your edc needs. In an office/business casual setting I'd suggest you go with the 940.

The axis lock has grown on me and I have been convinced by the quality of benchmade
I have a 943 Osborne and it is a great EDC ... So much that I have ordered a 940-1

In my EDC rotation I also have a PM2, a ZT0801 and a ZT0350
The PM2 is great and it appears in my pocket very often... It is a very good overall EDC.

My ZTs are more specific but IMHO they show more personality and I came back to them as soon as I want something more funny

I have a bm 707 and it is a very nice knife i got it as a classier alternative to my a mini griptillian which is probably my favorite edc knife

Welcome to the Forum, peepskp! The ZT 0770 is an excellent option as well (aluminum handles for about $150; carbon fiber for about $180):
