First Hinderer arrived today

I'd love to get my hands on a smooth titanium scale for my XM...someday. I think the XM would be even better if it was full titanium

Those do look pretty sweet. The one I'm having custom made has the crusader cross embedded in the cf.

Congrats, my most recent Hinderer is a 3.5" Bowie in Battle Bronze. It has a fairly strong detent, no shake out with this one. I can thumb deploy with no problem though. Love the bowie, will probably snag a 24 in that blade to replace the spanto I sold.

That looks great! Love the bronze. At first I wasn't sure about the bowie blade. I was thinking I wanted a spanto, but decided on the bowie at the last minute. Now I love the bowie shape. I'm also thinking about getting a 24 with a bowie blade.

Thanks, I usually don't swap out parts like is so fashionable on Hinderers, but am thinking some copper standoff's might look pretty decent, especially once they develop patina.

The major problem i have with my 0562 is that it does flip so well because of the detent. That's all it does is flip. There is no other way to open it. Even with two hands its almost impossible to open. I would sacrifice some flippig action in a heart beat to have more options of opening. It make sense why hinderer's open the way they do. Awesome knife op.

I find with my XM-18 I can only open it by flipping. It will break in at some point to allow me to use the thumb studs, but for now that is not an option. My new Eklipse opens by all three methods.

The flipping actions has noticeably improved in the few days I've had the knife. I find myself using the thumb studs/blade stops to open the knife. I'm very pleased with the XM so far.

Likewise. I find it just feels good in my hand. It feels like a quality knife.

Same here. I'm still quite surprised how great the knife feels both ergonomically and quality wise in my hand. It feels noticably superior to my ZT0801 which is a very fine knife.

I've owned and own a lot of nice higher dollar knives. After getting the 18, I found it's perfect for my everyday use. Added the 24 for hiking and use just in case. (yes, I carry it and don't use it unless a matter of life or death) I'm pretty well done with my quest to find the perfect pair to fulfill those two needs I've always had. Love everything about both!

I was lucky enough to get a Hinderer 3.5 at the Blade Show in 2014. Mine flips fine with a slight wrist roll, which is fine for practical use. It also opens smoothly with the thumb studs which is how I open it 90% of the time. It may be my best knife.

I've had my 3.5 Slicer for over a month now and simply love it. I've wanted one for years and finally the right deal came along. It's everything I'd hoped it would be. The detent on mine was previously modified, So it flips awesomely, but can still manipulate the studs/stops.
Also, my brother, recently gifted me a ZT 0566CF (deassisted) and I am pleasantly surprised at how similar the two actions are. Great flippers with a little technique, and still able to use the studs. Love that blade also.
One way I've been using for a slow open is to put my index finger on the flipper, thumb on the stud, and only use my index finger to break the detent with the flipper tab. Then simply use my thumb to finish opening. Not necessary to do it this way, but I like it.

I don't regret buying my XM-18 at all, even with how much they cost. I was so impressed with it, I bought an Eklipse as well. Both of these blades feel great in my hands. They have quickly become the two rotation mainstays in my pocket. A 24 is definitely in my future, but it may have to wait until spring - after I recover from Christmas purchases...

I'm even impressed with the support. I had some questions and Rob was very quick to answer them for me.

I really want a 24 Spanto but it,will have to wait. I'm not a collector so having lives that just sit in my drawer bothers me tremendously. Even the fact that the XM kicked my 0801 out of my pocket and into the drawer bothers me. I'll have sell some blades before a 24 gets added.
