So, I finally founds someone to sell me an XM18 3.5". The one I have incoming has orange G10 (not my favorite but it will do for now). I got a spanto flipper. Just wanted to share the excitement. I will update with pics when I get it in a few days.

You might be surprised at how much you like the Orange G10! But, - Total Hinderer Customization is but a click away.

Congrats! Enjoy!

The best model, IMO. Congrats. I just got the same model, but added a CF scale ( Enjoy it, you own a gem.

Great pick up! Enjoy your new knife. Be sure and post some pics when you get it. Switching out the scales on XM's is one of my favorite features of these great blades. Its like carrying a new knife whenever you change it up.

Congrats man I saw one go the other day the cheapest I've ever seen and didn't have your email to contact you so I'm glad you found what you were looking for finally. You will be impressed to say the least.

Thanks all! I will say that it isn't EXACTLY what I was looking for but it will do. I am looking forward to it for sure.

I have both metals and both blades. I prefer the looks of the spanto, and I can't tell the difference between the two metals. But I'm not a metal head. So I think you came out all right, if not down right fabulous. Just one man's opinion.

Nice! Be sure to show us some pics when you get her in. The orange doesn't look that bad in person. Orange has its role in my collection, just not EDC.

I think every Hinderer owner needs to have the XM 18 3.5 spanto, it is a must. This model captures the essence of the classical Hinderer knife. Spanto grind is ground breaking and extremely functional. Embellishing the knife to give it its own personallity is where the fun begins. Enjoy welcome to the Family.

The reason I decided that I was ok with a spanto is to fill a niche. I have one of the best slicers made in my large Insingo. I don't have anything like a spanto!!!

Very quick first impressions: solid, super smooth, confidence inspiring. It opens fast and smooth with the flipper or thumb stud. It is razor sharp. The orange G10 isn't that bad actually. I may change it down the road but it will get the chance to grow on me. It almost makes the knife less threatening, a good thing in my opinion. Here are some quick pics.

The orange looks good. You should keep it for a while. Take your time looking for a scale you like better.
