I agree they the orange looks good and it makes it less threatening. Somehow orange implies "safety tool". Same with yellow.

I couldn't agree more, I ordered my 3.5 XM in orange just for that reason...people get a little jumpy when I open a mil spec handled blade in public, even on accident scenes....and the orange looks better when it's a little dirty....MRAYMOND you got an AWSOME knife.... A spanto is more than just a cutting edge, it's a true do everything cutting tool....

You could join the WOWCOOP/USEAGEE brotherhood and get a pond scum scale next ;)
