First Hunting Pics

Thanks Guys,,, Those pics were with some smart phone. Probably one without a flash.

JB, I would just get in trouble trying to play match maker :) Lever 308, either a Win 88 or a Savage 99? There are 3 of the 88's and one 99 in the family. Excellent shooters. Among the most accurate.

A hunting dating site.... good idea :D

Casey,,, Junction. Just up the road a piece from you. Just when pet rocks went out of fashion, we have 300 acres of them. I let folks pick up landscaping rocks with the guarantee that if they don't like one, will replace it 5 for one. Send me your link to the bow site...

Probably won't be any more pics now till gun season starts.

Fritz.... search my name for some of last years pics of daughter and granddaughters with their deer. Your daughter might get a kick out of those and see that girls really do get their hands dirty :D

Just kidding Larry,

My sons girlfriend would kill me if she read my last post (you know how those Texas gals are)....LOL

The 308 lever is a browning and she has dropped many a Buck. The middle son is a lefty and the lever guns work best for his south paw affliction;)

I shoot a TenPoint crossbow as well... They are reeeeeeally nice. Kinda expensive, but very easy to dial in and very quiet.

Thats so cool to see her getting so many deer, with a ten point at that, lots of sharp knives gonna be needed if she keeps it up LOL!

I think you guys just want to send me to google to figure out what a 10pt is...lol

Hunting hasn't been all that great so far. The oldest daughter has taken the 4 hogs with biggest one going 210 or so. Oldest Granddaughter took a nice 8 pt. I took an old 8 pt that was well past his prime. Nearly no teeth and a poorly rack. He went to hamburger.

My highlight was the wife taking a hog with a shot to the ear with one of the .204's that she now claims as her gun. I wouldn't let her use her little .243 in fear of the recoil on her still fairly fragile body.

She has had a really long illness that she is now slowly recovering from and did really great. So now she is all wired for a deer.

She is a good shot. One shot drop to that hogs ear at about 85 yards or so. It went about 110 pounds.

Son in law and I used the 426 Bucklite build-outs field dressing the deer and the one hog that went to sausage.

Sorry,,pics not loaded as yet.

Pack Rat, We're so glad she's back, up and about, feeling better and doing things she enjoys. DM
