It's cute. Only here could a knife 5/16" thick with an 8" blade be called cute. I was really surprised to find it waiting for me when I got home from work today. I think I know who Santa's elves work for in the off season. Okay, back to the siru. It doesn't much look like the one on the shopping site. The handle is shorter and the blade longer. It looks like a 15" but smaller, very graceful. It's marked with a "K.S." and the trishul. Kesar? The horn handle is as nice as my Kumar or either of my Sher's and that says a lot. Fit and finish is outstanding. Scabbard excellent as well. I can't wait to try it out against the ivy. The karda and chakma are TINY and not nearly as well finished as the khuk, but's that's a minor point. If I could change anything about the rig it would be to skip the itty bitty karda and have a bigger chakma ride piggy back by itself. Even as it is it's a sweet little rig. Cute though it may be it's just what I needed to balance out my collection (if you can call four khuks a collection). One 18" WWII and two 25" sirus just begged for a little guy to take care of cutting tasks not easily accomplished by the WWII or the two dragonslayers. You've made me a very happy man, Uncle.

12"ers are cute little things - as you say, only on HI would a knife with
5 to 7/16ths thick spine and 8" blade be called such darling little knives.

Just be careful. The 12"ers seem to have an iron deficiency only alleviated by regularly nipping you for the iron in your blood.

"Gonna be SICK!"

Just what do you mean Quakipuss? You Are SICK!!!!!!!!:p
Bwahahahahaha:p

It's proven by your inability to see the cuteness the length challenged khuks have.

Pull that whimpy 12" ,I mean "CUTE"K on a BG & you may be ok! After he almost dies laughing!! Awwww,I gotta be fair,it's great for women to cut flowers! Now look here Duck, I don't mean to pry, but your fascination with big khukuris ain't some kind of "compensation behaviour" is it? They got counseling for that. Bwaaaahaaahaaa;) :D

Just teasing, don't send any one legged dancing girls to beat me with their bags of quarters. The little 12" khukuris may only be khukuris in name and shape (i.e. they look like a paring knife next to an 18" AK), but they're still some dayumed good knives, IMHO, and I ain't changing my mind about that.

Cute? I reserve that for Kagas Katnes and Biltons. I wouldn't want someone coming at me with a "cute" foot long knife in his hand.
